The Annual South Mountain YMCA Memorial Day Duck Race took place in Memorial Park in Maplewood on Memorial Day. The community tradition features thousands of rubber ducks dropped into the East Branch of the Rahway River with the fastest ducks winning prizes. The event raises money for the YMCA’s Financial Assistance Program and local nonprofits.
