IRVINGTON, NJ – The Irvington High School boys’ varsity basketball team, which advanced to the championship game of the NJSIAA North Jersey Section 2, Group 3 state tournament, featured four players who earned All-Super Essex Conference-Colonial Division honors.
Sophomore Karriem Thomas made First Team; seniors Kevin Kirkpatrick and Andrew Sylvestre made Second Team; and sophomore Kymani Dunbar made Honorable Mention.
The Blue Knights, as the No. 5 seed, lost at No. 2 seed Chatham in the state section final to finish with an 18-11 record under fourth-year head coach Elias Brantley, who is a 2006 IHS graduate.
