MAPLEWOOD – The South Mountain Hurricanes defeated the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Avengers by the score of 4-1 to win the U12 InterCounty Youth Boys Soccer League championship on Saturday, June 18. This win capped off a second consecutive undefeated season. Overall the Hurricanes went 11-0 (8-0 in the regular season and 3-0 in the playoffs). Dating back to spring 2015, the Hurricanes have won 21 consecutive games.
