MAPLEWOOD – The following Columbia High School cross-country runners earned All-Super Essex Conference-American Division honors:
Boys
First team: junior Jared Pangallozzi and sophomore David Ives.
Second team: senior Gabe Benson.
Honorable Mention: sophomore Tim Depue and senior Jacob Paul.
Girls
Honorable mention: junior Claudia Steiner and sophomore Catherine Jordan.
The aforementioned CHS boys’ runners also have earned Worrall Media All-Area honors. Pangallozzi is the All-Area Boys’ Runner of the Year and CHS head coach Lisa Morgan is the All-Area Boys’ Coach of the Year. Pangallozzi finished third overall to lead CHS to a second-place overall finish at the Essex County Championship meet at Brookdale Park in Bloomfield. Ives was ninth overall at the county meet.
